Looking at simple-editor is a good idea to get you started. If you have more
specific questions, we also have a shoes mailing list at shoes@librelist.com,
with a bunch of helpful people. :)

You can also look at the shoes manual from inside shoes, by hitting
control-m. That manual has some search capability. :)
