Just a little research of his own before putting the whole assignment as a question for the group would have turned up answers for those questions and left him to ask things that aren't part of the FAQ, and aren't questions that anyone that had actually spent oh, shall we say one hour, playing with ruby would ask. You can tell he isn't that bothered, he didn't even bother to check is spelling. Another point, if he gets all those answers from the news group and they fix the questions, do you think he will learn anything? Do you think he will actually have a play with ruby? His was not a 'newbie' question, I encouraged him to look into it himself as I am sure his assignment asks.
