A few questions if you do not mind: - Is it not better to USE the class rather than inherit from it? - Would it be quicker to make the 'masterDocument' an actual xml file. Then load it using REXML as a DOM Tree, adding, changing, removing nodes from there on? - Also, will loading a library such as REXML cause any significant overhead? Again, thanks for your time.
