I've tried [0..value], [0...value] and [0..value-1] but .each executes at least once for each. Here's my problem. I want to iterate from 0 to value - 1 (for an exact count of value). Obviously, if value is 0, then I don't want to iterate at all. In C this is easy with: for(i = 0;i < value;i++) ....as shown, for will iterate for an exact count of value and if value is zero, will not iterate even once. How do I acheive something similar in Ruby? Sean
