Another thing I do not like is that when I do

  rake release VERSION=2.0.1 --trace

then _again_ my doc directory gets wiped without asking me. I need that 
directory for other stuff of my web-project. My Documentation of the 
project is in a completely different directory.

Any hints how do deal with that?
