Hmm... so I looked over the examples and they suggest mixing in
functionality from another module.  Why can't I just extend an
exception object?  In my example earlier:

class TestingError < StandardError
  attr_reader :uga
  def initialize (booga)
    @uga = booga
  end
end # class TestingError

why can't I raise an instance of TestingError and pass TestingError a
parameter?  I don't like the way it looks/feels to have to raise two
exceptions.  [ruby-talk:36416] doesn't explain where that warning was
coming from either.  <:~)  -sc
