About efficiency
A thread surfaced asking for tips on how to make efficient Ruby
programs. Some suggestions where given in the thread but the
majority was centered around language design for speed with
regard to VM's and byte code. Interesting thread to read
through.
Mixins vs. Multiple Inheritance
This thread highlightst some of the differences between the
multiple inhertance and mixin paradigm.
Eval code/design smell?
The question was asked if the use of eval was a code/design
smell. Cases where presented for either side of the fence. Read
through the discussion and formulate your own opinions.

Teach Yourself Ruby in 21 Days([4]) is now arriving at peoples
doors with the first reviews starting to come through on -talk.
All reviews are pointing towards another beautiful sparkling
ruby book to add to the jewels already available.
Documenting Ruby code
A thread stared talking about how ri kept up to date with with
the new and evolving Rub API. This thread shifted slightly
towards a sneak preview of what the Ruby community may receive
in future versions of ri. It seems the that ri and RDoc will
become a much, much tighter family then they currently are.
Google and Ruby
Google seem to be making a SOAP based API so people can program
in Google searching support into applications. I think this
would be great, especially since experimentation is being done
in Ruby (No idea what the end result will be in).
