From: Michael Sullivan Date: 2002-04-08T12:53:15+09:00 Subject: mod_ruby and eruby Apache error Hi, I just upgraded my Apache server for various reasons and along with it I also upgraded mod_ruby and eruby. It's now producing the following errors: ruby: warning: already initialized constant DECLINED ruby: warning: already initialized constant DONE ruby: warning: already initialized constant OK ruby: warning: already initialized constant HTTP_CONTINUE ruby: warning: already initialized constant HTTP_SWITCHING_PROTOCOLS ruby: warning: already initialized constant HTTP_PROCESSING ruby: warning: already initialized constant HTTP_OK ruby: warning: already initialized constant HTTP_CREATED ruby: warning: already initialized constant HTTP_ACCEPTED ruby: warning: already initialized constant HTTP_NON_AUTHORITATIVE [ many other constants removed....] ruby: warning: already initialized constant OPT_ALL ruby: warning: already initialized constant SATISFY_ALL ruby: warning: already initialized constant SATISFY_ANY ruby: warning: already initialized constant SATISFY_NOSPEC ruby: warning: already initialized constant MOD_RUBY Here are the software versions: SunOS tango.xxx.com 5.7 Generic_106541-18 sun4m sparc SUNW,SPARCstation-20 Ruby/1.6.7 Apache/1.3.24 mod_ruby/0.9.7 In my httpd.conf: RubyRequire apache/ruby-run RubyRequire apache/eruby-run SetHandler ruby-object RubyHandler Apache::RubyRun.instance SetHandler ruby-object RubyHandler Apache::RubyRun.instance SetHandler ruby-object RubyHandler Apache::ERubyRun.instance When I comment out one of the RubyRequire lines, the warnings go away. This behaviour didn't happen with these versions: Apache/1.3.20 Ruby/1.6.6 mod_ruby/0.9.5 I basically understand why this is happening, but not sure how to go about fixing. Seems the two requires define the constants each time. Any suggestions or assistance would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike -- Michael P.
