I guess what I'm worried about is that people interested in trying out Ruby for the first time who happen to be running Windows will download it and play with it for a bit, then try out threads and upon finding them broken, they'll decide that it's not worth their time to delve further. If threading works under the mingw32 version does that mean we should revisit that option? Phil
