Subject: Problems installing the gtk2 gem

Hi all!

I am having some problem installing the gtk2 gem.
When I try to do so I get the error message:

/usr/bin/ruby extconf.rb
checking for GCC... *** extconf.rb failed ***
Could not create Makefile due to some reason, probably lack of
necessary libraries and/or headers.  Check the mkmf.log file for more
details.  You may need configuration options.

Provided configuration options:

You have to install development tools first.

I have tried to search the web for this error, but got nothing.

Anybody got an idea how to fix this?
