There are diverse opinions about the status of computing. Also it can
described as science. The next are two articles on that line.

* Is Computer Science Science? , Peter Denning, 2005.
* Computing is a natural science , Peter Denning, 2007. 

Maybe the categories of art, science or engineering are related with
the methods that you use.
