The explicit self argument in Python. Made me gag, since even C++ does this better. And __under__score__blindness__. I'm a CamelCaseGuyInRubyRehab :-) Not to mention the indentation model of Python... *shudder* The blocks in Ruby deliver my daily dosage of curly braces. Another thing was the combination of reference counting and no plain scope. I was doing C++ at the time and used destructor semantics for sub-parts of methods. This made me wonder why Python didn't provide a plain scope, since the idiom fits nicely with ref.counting, IMHO. But before we rekindle this flame, I think the statements of Eckel was dissected to pat once upon a time: http://www.rubytalk.com/blade/23235 -- (\[ Kent Dahl ]/)_ _~_ __[ http://www.stud.ntnu.no/~kentda/ ]___/~ ))\_student_/(( \__d L b__/ NTNU - graduate engineering - 4. year ) ( \__\_|_/__/ ) _)Industrial economics and technological management( \____/__\____/ (____engineering.discipline_=_Computer::Technology___)
