This is great news.   I, too, am working on a Ruby book (on beginning Ruby
programming), and I'd like to suggest starting a Wiki page for Ruby book
authors.  It could be used to track suggestions for books, list topics that
folks think should be in different types of books (e.g., advanced books
should cover X, beginner books should be sure to explain Y), suggested
example code (whether actual short programs, or thoughts on larger example
applications),  and the like.

I, for example, would really like to know what Ruby newbies find
troublesome or confusing, so I can be sure to address them.
