Subject: Object Persistence

After yet another long project that required data persistence and wrestling 
with my typical solution of trying to make objects fit into databases, I 
began, yet again, looking for a more elegant and organic solution.  
Unfortunately, the problem is so complex that the solutions I encountered 
were way over my head.  One of the reasons I left Smalltalk for Ruby was the 
Smalltalk image concept.  I have now come to realize that the Smalltalk 
image, or something like it , is the only real solution to object 
persistence.  While in this mindset I tripped across this:

To me it was a Eureka experience.  I would be interested in knowing if anyone 
else is impressed with the coldstore solution and what would be required to 
utilize it in Ruby.
