trying to help, but do u know u code doesn't  work if it's like this ?

class  Mycompute
  def initialize(str)
    @str=str
   end
  def values
    @@result=@str
   end
   def up
     @@result.upcase
   end
end

puts Mycompute.new("Abc").up

but it do if u do this:

class  Mycompute
  def initialize(str)
    @str=str
    @@result=str
   end
...

puts Mycompute.new("Abc").up #will work.
