Subject: small web project


I have been asked to work on a little web project. I am very rusty
on CGI, I want to use ruby, so I thought I would ask for some advice.

This website is currently a bunch of static pages (running under Apache).
These pages are to be split into "internal" and "external" pages.
The internal pages are only to be shown to people who login and are
recognized by the system (with simple password generation -- a flat
file, encrypted will do).  I don't want to use cookies, all of the
info is to be kept server-side.

Anyone have any suggestions or examples that could point me in the
right direction?
