Good as bad. I am right now refining an already deployed ordering system for an intranet running on windoze. Here is what I learned: - when dealing with IIS, don't use a cygwin version of ruby - remember to update the location of your script folder in the library path (IIS configuration) when moving the folder from demo to real mode - start simple, refactor mercilessly. - use stylesheets for layout - the cgi module goes a *very* long way - you can surprise your customer with three minute modifications fulfilling "complicated" requests only the first time. - watch out for samba caused update delays, when running windoze in vmware on you linux box HTH s. -- Stefan Schmiedl Approximity GmbH http://www.approximity.com Research & Development mailto:stefan@approximity.com Loreleystr. 5, 94315 Straubing, Germany Tel.
