Subject: Connection to Sybase databases

Hi

Just found Ruby today and I think it is a great language.  I'm looking for 
a language that would replace our web services currently coded in PHP.  In 
my opinion Ruby is a great alternative to Java/JSP.

Now for my stupid question.. I'd like to connecto to either a Sybase 
(11.9.2) or an MSSQL (7/200) database servers..  Do libraries exist that 
will establish connections for me?
I've read that you can connect to MySql and PG-SQL but I haven't come 
across anything to do with bigger RDBMS's

I still have a lot of reading to do but if anyone could lend a helping 
hand, I'll much apreciate it.
