Hi,

The "=> err" is not really needed, it just makes the error object
available as a variable for further use. Like in:

begin
  raise "Killer robots!"
rescue Exception => err
  puts "#{err.message} (#{err.class})" # prints 'Killer robots!
(RuntimeError)'
end
