If you really want to, you can do this:

  my_class = Class.new(Array)
  my_class.class_eval {
    def sum
      s = 0
      each {|x| s+= x}
      s
    end
  }
  mc = my_class.new
  mc.concat [1,2,3]
  mc.sum
        # ==> 6
  my_class.name
        # ==> ""

The disadvantage is that it's an anonymous class. IIRC, the Class#name
method looks for a constant that refers to the class, so it doesn't see
this local variable.
