Upon reflection, I have reasoned that since the articles made
it to google's "groups" search, the problem is with my newsfeed
or my newsreader and *not* the gateway.

BTW: my newsfeed/reader dropped Dave's response to this thread.
Dave, how did you send that response?  I.e., through the mailing list
or through usenet news?
