From: "Morris, Chris" Date: 2002-03-21T00:30:07+09:00 Subject: building latest cvs ruby on win I'm trying to build the latest cvs on Windows with msvc ... I found the previous thread on requiring byacc and sed (and also libiconv and gettext...), so I've gotten past those problems. Then: set LIB=..\..;D:\Dev\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98\mfc\lib;D:\Dev\Microso ft Visual Studio\VC98\lib;D:\VTune40 compiling curses compiling digest MAKE Version 5.2 Copyright (c) 1987, 1998 Inprise Corp. ... [errors, of course] That's Borland's make.exe being found in the path. It appears miniruby.exe is executing make.exe, and not finding it in the build directory (.) or .\ext\digest, it hits up my path for one (and in this case found make.exe in a Delphi installation...) Should it be trying to call nmake.exe? Or should I get a make.exe from somewhere else? Chris Morris chris.morris@snelling.com
