I usually write my lib classes like this: class Blah ... end if __FILE__ == $0 require 'test/unit' class TestBlah < Test::Unit::TestCase ... end end If the __FILE__ == $0 part goes away, would the test run always? Would it have to be kept in a separate file? I hope not, since a great deal of speed in development for me is given by modifying the class or the test and rerunning it immediately inside emacs, with no load/save cycle. Massimiliano
