Don't go there. To quote a long since departed Microsoft employee friend of mine "There be dragons" The Microsoft "POSIX Subsystem" for NT was a thinly veiled sham designed to allow NT to be used in government contracts where POSIX compliance was required for standards compliance purposes but had no real bearing on the functional operation of the system. In short, it was a steaming pantload. With luck they've jettesoned it in recent NT/2k/XP versions, although someone else can probably update us on that. In short, Forget about it :) -Chris (The original Windows NT resource kit came with a few commands etc to use the POSIX subsystem - they sucked like a hoover and crashed a LOT)
