My, but this raises a number of questions ;) Let's start with a few...

 1. Which version of g++ are you compiling with (try typing 'g++ --version'
to see).
 2. What are the g++ header files doing in /usr/local/include of all places?
 3. Can you check to see what happens if you edit the
     Makefile in FXRuby-0.99.189/ext/fox and remove the compiler flag
    '-I/usr/local/include" and then do "make" again?
