Subject: how does gtk curve work?

I'm trying to initialize the curve in the Gtk::Curve widget.

I'd expect that the following code displayed a curve from 0,0 to 1,1,
slightly bent toward the middle.  Well, it displays a set of point
whose connection with the given data I fail to see.  Anyone knows what
am I missing?
