Will it > supplant ~/.rpkgrc ? No, it was just supposed to hold defaults. As you can see, ~/.rpkgrc is read immediately thereafter and thus overrides them. It should be Config::CONFIG['sysconfdir'], really, as there is no /etc under Windows anyway. Anyway, I plan to shed much hardcoding, above all those Config::CONFIG's, and allow packagers to fill whatever content directories they want as long as such directories are also configured on the installing user's systems. This would make rpkg more useful for general (i.e. not necessarily Ruby-related) packaging and provide more flexibility for us. On another note... anybody less web-challenged than me would be interested in building web access to the package base? I'm thinking about something like http://packages.debian.org. Basically it should consist of reading a user query, searching an entry in a text file, and returning a page based on that entry. Massimiliano
