Subject: Snapshots

Hi,
I'm trying to get a devel snapshot of ruby to develop my ruby-config utility (even if this didn't triggered too much enthousiasm :-) ... but I need it). 

My problem is that the snapshots only include the Makefile.in (generated) file, not the (source) Makefile.am, which in need to modify or at least have a look at. 

I don't have CVS (behind an proxy) acces so getting the snapshot is the only way I have to get the latest ruby so I can provide a patch.
