I guess I'll make ruby detect the current operating system and then use the appropriate library. Basically, what I'm looking for is Java's Robot class functionality (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/api/java/awt/Robot.html) "Ed Sinjiashvili" wrote: > I'm not sure if this is what you meant, but have a look at SDL > cross-platform library. Its pretty cool (I like the pong demo), but it seems like it isn't able to control the actual operating system's GUI's functionality? I may be wrong about this, but it looks like you first need to create a small window (for your game, etc.) to run on and then all events and actions are handled in that window. At this point, cross-platform doesn't seem too viable. So, my main focus will be on trying to remote control a MS Windows OS. I guess Win32API is my best bet?
