Ruby/zlib 0.5.0 was released. Available from:

(Changes from 0.5.0-pre6)

  * updated the docuent.

  * fixed probrems in compile time.

  * Zlib::GzipWriter#puts is defined by using rb_io_puts() in
    Ruby-1.6.7 and 1.7. Zlib::GzipWriter#print and some other writing
    methods are defined likewise.
    In Ruby-1.6.6 and before, Zlib::GzipWriter#puts (print) changes
    $defout temporally and calls Kernel::puts (Kernel::print).
