Subject: How can I modify the xml file directly?

Hi, folks
Here I have a piece of xml file example:
<book>
    <name>Programming Ruby</name>
    <author>Dave Thomas</author>
    <price>$54.96</price>
</book>

If I want to modify the price of the book directly to the xml file, can
I do that and how can I do that?
