Subject: Bluetooth on winXP

Can anyone tell me what the state of play is on this subject?

I will be wanting to look at pulling scanned barcodes from a barcode
reader via bluetooth.

Have read and seen a video about lib-usb circa 2007 plus ruby-serial as
a base for another library using NXT and lego.

both of which i am not completely clear on how to use.
