From: Dave Thomas Date: 2002-03-08T03:13:37+09:00 Subject: RDoc now generates .chm files If you're a Windows user, and if you have Microsoft's HTML Help Compiler installed, you can now use RDoc to generate .chm files (the new Window's help format). rdoc --fmt chm --opname myapp README lib/ will generate doc/myapp.chm containing documentation from the README and all source files in lib/. This is experimental, and is only available from cvs. As I know absolutely nothing about Windows _or_ chm, I'd welcome all comments and suggestions. Also... should anyone be feeling artistic, I'd really like to add icons to the contents listings. To do this I need an iconstrip containing Image 1 closed File information Image 2 open File information Image 3 new closed File information Image 4 new open File information Image 5 closed Class/Module information Image 6 open Class/Module information Image 7 new closed Class/Module information Image 8 new open Class/Module information Image 9 method information Image 10 a Ruby (optional - just might be nice to have) No idea how you represent the concept of a class or module in a 16x16 bitmap :) Cheers Dave
