I've been going through the "Programming Ruby" book (_very_ good, too), but I've hit a snag .... :-) . ( btw - I'm using RubyWin , 1.6.5 , Win98) On the bottom of page 110, there's a code snippet that appends an object to an output IO stream. The code is as follows - endl = "\n" $stdout << 99 << " red balloons" << endl Running this using IRb gives - Errno::ENOENT: No such file or directory (irb):2:in `write' (irb):2:in `<<' (irb):2:in `irb_binding' So - why is this code not working ....? Thanks in advance !
