I'm not quite sure I understand what you're trying to accomplish. Do you
just want a groupbox with its children laid-out horizontally? If so, you
don't need to create a new intermediate class, just create the child widgets
with the groupbox as their parent, e.g.

    groupbox = FXGroupBox.new(main, "Title", GROUPBOX_NORMAL|FRAME_GROOVE)
    label = FXLabel.new(groupbox, "Label", nil,
LABEL_NORMAL|LAYOUT_SIDE_LEFT)
    button = FXButton.new(groupbox, "Button", nil, ni, 0,
BUTTON_NORMAL|LAYOUT_SIDE_LEFT)
