Subject: Time Comparison

I am using the time object to compare times between two files and I'm
getting some kind of wierd behavior I don't know what to do about.

The first time object is the File.stat().mtime of an newer file.
The second time object is the File.stat().mtime of a older file

So first >= second.

However, when I test this condition using if or assigning the boolean result
to a variable, I get this result:

second > first.

I'm using the >= operator to test this condition.

Why isn't the result correct?
