Thanks for the effort you've put into this.

Looking at the XML, I would prefer to see markup with more semantic 
meaning.  For example, the sample doc has

<h2>Summary</h2> 

But there's nothing about an h2 element to tell you that what follows is
a summary.  So, if I wanted to parse a set of rdoc xml files and extract the summmaries,
the code gets harder ;)
