Thanks for the links. They are interesting.

Does make the require statements a wee bit wacky though, do people
really use

require File.join( File.dirname( File.expand_path(__FILE__)), 'lib',
'helpers', 'precious')

rather than

require 'lib/helpers/precious'

??
