|couple months ago, no-one commented on it at that time. I've also uploaded
|to the bug list (id 212), so I suppose it will make it in the main
|distribution if someone doesn't come up with something better. It would be
|a great honor, for me anyway, to even get this little bit of code into
|Ruby. 

It's on my (longish) ToDo list.  Stay tuned.
