The ruby installer at pragmaticprogrammer.com is quite easy to use,
and it includes a compiled eruby....

Why do you need mod_ruby?  Is there a (speed) problem with running
..rb's as cgi-scripts using the she-bang (#!)?

This is definately an effort calling for volunteers......  The generic
interface is not mature, but the individual drivers work well enough.

I'm using ruby quite a lot in a windows web-production enviroment, and
I haven't had many "I can't do it" moments.
