Subject: gem cleanup and "dependencies will not be met"


Is there a way to run 'gem cleanup' so that this question:

If you remove this gems, one or more dependencies will not be met.
Continue with Uninstall? [Yn]

is automatically answered in the negative? Why is Y the default, anyway? 
wouldn't that break deps?
