Get redis from github as far as I know there is no redis gem on  
rubyforge yet(i wrote the ruby client)

git clone git://github.com/ezmobius/redis-rb.git

cd redis-rb

rake gem
sudo gem install pkg/redis***.gem

rake redis:install
rake redis:start
