My view on the least common denominator is to implement all the cool 
features we want and just have these features do something reasonable in 
the platforms that don't support them.  Most cool stuff are more 
visually stimulating rather than functionally necessary.  So what if the 
pop-up help does not appear on one platform as long as the interface 
runs reasonably well and the pop-up help doesn't cause an error in the 
unsupported platform.
