From: Dave Thomas Date: 2002-02-13T01:55:44+09:00 Subject: {ANN] RDoc now handles C extensions RDoc is a Javadoc-alike documentation system for Ruby source (and C extensions for Ruby :). The latest CVS contains experimental support for parsing class, module, and method definitions from .c files, integrating the result with the rest of the RDoc output. It also extracts the comment block of the C method that implements a Ruby method, using that as the documentation it displays. There's an example at http://rdoc.sourceforge.net/doc/index.html (c_parse describes how .c files are handled, and error.c shows the class diagram of exceptions, generated from the interpreter source). This is very much a work in progress, but I'd appreciate feedback from extension writers. Cheers Dave
