Hmmm... this is a good idea.

Well, it would be more accurate to say that there are some people here who 
don't want *bad* standard APIs, which DOM is.  I've ignored the SAX issue 
because I never use stream parsing myself, and things I don't use (and 
aren't bugs) get pushed down to the bottom of the todo list.
