From: Jim Menard Date: 2002-02-05T05:59:48+09:00 Subject: WEBrick test fails On my Linux Red Hat 7.1 system, one WEBrick test fails with the following error message: TestWEBrickHTTPServer: E. Time: 0.001338 FAILURES!!! Test Results: Run: 1/1(0 asserts) Failures: 0 Errors: 1 Errors: 1 .../lib/webrick/server.rb:55:in `getaddrinfo'(TestWEBrickHTTPServer): getnameinfo: ai_family not supported (SocketError) from ../lib/webrick/server.rb:55:in `listen' from ../lib/webrick/server.rb:51:in `initialize' from ../lib/webrick/httpserver.rb:24:in `initialize' from ./TestWEBrickHTTPServer.rb:14:in `new' from ./TestWEBrickHTTPServer.rb:14:in `setup' from ./TestWEBrickHTTPServer.rb:11:in `each' from ./TestWEBrickHTTPServer.rb:11:in `setup' from testwebrick.rb:31:in `start' from testwebrick.rb:25:in `each' from testwebrick.rb:25:in `start' from testwebrick.rb:56 All other tests pass. The offending line in ../lib/webrick/server.rb is res = Socket::getaddrinfo(@config[:BindAddress], @config[:Port], Socket::AF_UNSPEC, # address family Socket::SOCK_STREAM, # socket type 0, # protocol Socket::AI_PASSIVE) # flag I assume the error message is about the Socket::AI_PASSIVE flag. Any hints? Have I done something wrong? Jim -- Jim Menard, jimm@io.com, http://www.io.com/~jimm/ "HTML belongs in email the way vinyl siding belongs on gerbils.
