I've Shoes to build a couple applications lately. Some of the  
documentation is pretty good but there's holes in it. It requires a  
little experimentation to get the hang of it.

As a note, I was someone that really hated working with GUI code but  
Shoes changed my mind on that :). _why has me sold.
