From: Dave Thomas Date: 2002-01-25T09:34:55+09:00 Subject: [ANN] RDoc learns to draw pictures... RDoc is a Javadoc-like documentation tools for Ruby source. RDoc alpha-9 is now available at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=42128&release_id=71859 The most significant new feature is the addition of class and module drawings, based on the great work of Sergey A Yanovitsky (Jah). There are some examples at http://rdoc.sourceforge.net/doc/index.html. The initial picture is fairly boring--click on simple_markup to see something more realistic. Diagram support is still experimental, and you'll eed to have the 'dot' program loaded (http://www.research.att.com/sw/tools/graphviz/) The full list of changes since alpha-8 is: * added --help option. * Jah of Enticla added wonderful support for diagramming classes and modules. Added new -d option to turn it on, and renamed the debug option -D. * Added support for generating the blank page needed as the initial src= in the source frame. * The body of labeled lists can now start on the line following the label, thus avoiding those hideously indented blocks. This means you can write: This is my very long label:: And this is the body of the list entry. See it glisten in the noon-day sun. * Added --template option and the ability to switch html output templates. Included the 'kilmer' template from Rich Kilmer. Have fun Dave
