Subject: MSSQL and Ruby

Is there a tool besides DBI to connect to MSSQL?
I found 'mssqlclient' but I need to reboot to try it and I don't usually 
have time to reboot (nor do I want to). If there's no other way than DBI 
.. Is there a better way to do it than DBI:ADO:Provider=SQLOLEDB ?
