here matrix1 holds a ptr/reference to the array object

# >> matrix1 = ["One","Two","Three"]
# => ["One", "Two", "Three"]

here the reference is also copied to matrix2

# >> matrix2 = matrix1
# => ["One", "Two", "Three"]
